The hair prosthesis system aims to restore profound hair loss caused by severe localised or complete alopecia or alopecia caused by scarring. The hair prosthesis is like a second scalp that blends with your own hair and skin. The system is comfortable and has undergone rigorous clinical testing.
The prosthesis is made of a flexible medical polymer that allows the scalp to breathe properly. In addition, thanks to the hypoallergenic medical adhesives used, your new head of hair will fit in perfectly with any lifestyle. Swimming and extreme sports present no risks to your hair. CNC® prosthetics are made-to-measure to perfectly fit your scalp like a second skin. They are undetectable to the naked eye and feel natural to the touch. Your new hair will restore your confidence and your friends, family and colleagues will be amazed by the results.
Creating the hair prosthesis
The CNC® system uses a 39-step process, from the creation of the mould to the application of the prosthesis to the scalp of the patient. Morphological analysis of the patient’s scalp using high-tech scanners and 3D printing of an identical replica of the cranium produces a perfectly customised prosthesis.
The prosthesis is then hand-made by specialist artisans. They are made of antibacterial medical-grade polymer which is heat, humidity, and sweat resistant. Natural European hair is then sewn by hand on to this second polymer skin which is perfectly matched to the skin tone of your own scalp. The hair is carefully selected to match the colour and type of the patient’s hair and matches the way your hair follicles naturally grow.
Once the manufacture of the prosthesis is complete, it is applied to the affected area of the cranium, restoring a full head of hair and ensuring that the skin can breathe normally.
