Your teeth may require professional cleaning to ensure that the application of the veneers is performed under optimal conditions. A quote is prepared which you will need to accept before treatment can begin.

If your teeth are not straight enough for the application of veneers we might suggest you undergo an orthodontic treatment plan first.

Before the treatment

Prior to treatment, the dentist will produce some photos, imprints and 3D scans of your teeth and face. This step is fundamental to the process because it allows us to take into account the morphology and shape of your face and the colour and size of your teeth. You will be able to view a digital mockup of the final results at this stage.

Once we have established the exact colour, size, form and translucency of your teeth we send the specifications to a laboratory where your veneers will be manufactured to specification.

Application

The quantity of sessions required to complete the application of the veneers depends on the number of teeth to be veneered and whether the treatment concerns the top teeth, the bottom teeth, or both. The procedure is simple, quick and painless. The specialist will begin by gently cleaning and polishing the surfaces of your teeth to ensure that the dental cement can create a powerful bond between your teeth and the veneers.

If your dental veneer is designed to change the shape of a tooth (microdontia for example), the specialist may need to reshape the tooth to some extent in order to properly fit the veneer. This is generally painless but can be uncomfortable. If necessary a local anaesthetic can be administered for your comfort.

Post treatment

Once your dental veneers have been applied, you can immediately resume your normal activities without constraints. Caring for your veneers and maintaining oral hygiene requires no changes to your daily routine: brush, floss and visit your dentist once every six months.
