DESCRIPTION
DHEA is a naturally occurring hormone in the body that is used to synthesize other hormones such as testosterone and oestrogen. In adequate levels, it can beneficially affect muscle strength, physical performance, symptoms of depression and quality of sexual life in both men and women. However, natural levels of DHEA decrease with age, and often correlate with age-related diseases such as osteoporosis, atherosclerosis and sexual disorders.
Health Boost DHEA combines trace minerals and vitamins to promote an increase in natural production of the DHEA hormone in the body without exogenously introducing hormones. In clinical trials levels of DHEA and S-DHEA (DHEA sulphate, its active form) were seen to gradually increase over a course of a six month protocol without surpassing the physiological maximum.
