Liposuction and liposculpture are performed under local or tumescent anaesthesia for smaller treatment areas and general anaesthesia for larger areas. During both liposuction and liposculpture procedures, small incisions are made to allow for the insertion of a thin surgical tube (called a cannula), 2 to 6 mm in diameter, under the skin and into the underlying adipose tissue. Excess fat is then aspirated from the body using a syringe or suction device connected to the cannula. Aspiration is stopped once the desired result is achieved. After surgery, a compression garment is fitted to the treatment area to aid in the healing process.

One of our friendly nurses will welcome you and assist you with any necessary pre-operative preparations. Before anaesthesia is administered, the surgeon will mark the areas where the fat will be removed. Once this has been done, you will be able to relax, knowing that you are in capable hands.

The treatment is generally completed in a single session as per the plan outlined with our medical specialist during your initial consultation. The way in which your liposuction or liposculpture is performed will depend on your personal preferences, the size and number of the areas to be treated as well as the amount of fat to be removed. Variations in the procedure will be in respect to:

Post-traitement

4 Post treatment
